Disperse / Legal
Content Policy
The ground rules for what you upload, create, and distribute.
These pages are being prepared for launch and are not yet the effective terms or final privacy notice.
Respect rights, protect people, and keep campaign performance honest. Report problematic content with enough detail for us to locate and assess it.
1. Use material you can lawfully use
Only upload, link, adapt, or distribute material where you have the rights or another valid legal basis for the intended use. This includes source footage, music, images, logos, voices, and likenesses. Obtain necessary permissions from people whose personal information or appearances are used.
Giving credit alone is not permission. A clip being short, public, or available through a link does not automatically make reuse lawful. Do not bypass paywalls, access controls, or technical protections to obtain source content.
2. Protect people
Do not use Disperse for child sexual abuse or exploitation material, non-consensual intimate imagery, threats, targeted harassment, doxxing, violent extremism, or other unlawful content or conduct.
Do not impersonate someone deceptively, falsely suggest their endorsement, or edit footage to fabricate a materially misleading statement. Avoid exposing private information without an appropriate basis. Do not use the service for scams or deceptive commercial claims.
3. Keep campaigns and accounts honest
No fake views, purchased engagement, bots, undisclosed self-dealing, forged metrics, identity manipulation, or misleading submissions. Do not repeatedly submit the same work contrary to a campaign's rules.
Disclose paid relationships as required. Do not fabricate testimonials or claim to have used a product you have not used. Follow the rules of the social platforms where you publish.
4. Respect the service
Do not distribute malware, steal credentials, access someone else's account or content, bypass usage limits, or deliberately disrupt Disperse. Do not collect other users' information without an appropriate basis.
If you discover a security issue, send a limited report to team@disperse.video. Avoid accessing, downloading, or publishing other people's data. This contact route does not authorise activity that would otherwise be unlawful.
5. Report content or a copyright issue
Email team@disperse.video with the content or campaign reference, where it appears, the concern, and relevant evidence. See copyright reporting instructions for rights complaints.
We may restrict access while reviewing a credible report. Where appropriate and lawful, we will notify the affected user and let them respond. A report is assessed on its merits; submitting a complaint does not itself establish infringement. Do not submit knowingly false or abusive reports.
6. How we respond
Depending on the facts, we may request changes, remove content, reject a submission, restrict a feature, suspend an account, or cooperate with lawful requests. The response should be proportionate to the issue and any repeat conduct.
Contact us if you believe a decision was mistaken. Provide the decision reference, an explanation, and supporting evidence. We will review the information; we cannot guarantee that a third-party platform will restore content removed under its own rules.
