Cookies & Storage
What your browser stores while you use Disperse.
These pages are being prepared for launch and are not yet the effective terms or final privacy notice.
Sign-in, session state, and saved editor drafts use browser storage. Clearing it can sign you out or remove local projects. Read below for the storage used and the controls available to you.
1. Cookies and other browser storage
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Disperse also uses session storage, local storage, and IndexedDB. These technologies can remember state or save project files without each item being stored as a cookie.
2. Storage used by the current application
| Category | Purpose | Duration or control |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication | Clerk maintains sign-in and security state on pages using account services. | Cookie names and expiry depend on the production Clerk configuration; these require confirmation before publication. |
| Session storage | Sign-in redirect handling and context when moving between the dashboard and editor. | Generally limited to the browser tab's session; some entries are removed after use. |
| Local storage | Campaign-related browser state where those features are enabled. | Remains until the application or you clear it. |
| IndexedDB | Editor drafts and associated media saved on your device. | Remains until removed or cleared by you, the application, or the browser. |
3. External resources and optional tracking
Pages using Google Fonts connect to Google to download fonts. Account pages may connect to Clerk. A third-party connection can reveal request information even when it does not set an advertising cookie. See the Privacy Policy for service providers.
Pending confirmation before publication: check the deployed site, hosting settings, and authentication service for all cookies, analytics, advertising tags, and similar tracking, including their names, providers, purposes, and lifetimes. The source review alone is not a complete production cookie audit.
If optional tracking is introduced where consent is required, it must remain disabled until a valid choice is made, and users must be able to withdraw consent. This page does not itself grant consent or implement tracking controls.
4. Your controls
Your browser's privacy settings allow you to inspect, block, or clear cookies and site storage. Blocking authentication storage may prevent sign-in. Clearing IndexedDB or other site data can remove saved editor drafts and media, so export work you want to keep first.
